One Lamp · last updated 6 November 2026

This page says, as plainly as possible, what we keep and why. If something here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it.

1. What we collect

WhatWhyHow long
A random identifier stored in your browserSo the app knows it is you coming back; it is not your name or emailUntil you clear your browser or ask us to delete it
What you write (a wish, a message)To answer you and to show it back to youUntil you ask us to delete it
The questions you ask the TigerTo keep the conversation coherentUntil you ask us to delete it
Payment status (paid / not paid, plan, period)To unlock what you paid forAs long as records are needed for tax

We do not ask for your name, phone number, address or date of birth, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.

2. What we never do

3. The AI part — please read this one

Replies are generated by large language models run by third-party providers. To produce an answer, the text you type is sent to one of those providers and processed there. We do not send them your payment details or your identifier. Their handling of that text is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We keep provider agreements that prohibit using submitted content to train their public models, but we cannot technically guarantee a provider's internal behaviour — so please do not type anything you would not put in an ordinary email.

4. Payments

Card details are entered on our payment provider's checkout and never reach our servers. We only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the plan, and the period it covers.

5. Who else sees your data

That is the whole list. We do not share data with anyone else unless the law compels us.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, we will honour these on request:

Write to privacy@onelamp.app and we will answer within 30 days.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. The app stores a small amount of data in your browser (your identifier, and the state of today's lamp) so it works without an account.

8. Children

One Lamp is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has used it, write to us and we will delete the data.

9. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and, where we can, we will tell you in the app.
